Abstract:
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are a global problem affecting all of humanity. With the rise of socioeconomic prosperity in developed countries since the mid-20th century, heart and vascular diseases have become the leading cause of disability and mortality. Among Russians, ischemic heart disease (IHD) is only slightly behind cerebrovascular diseases, including stroke, in terms of mortality from circulatory diseases.
