Abstract:
In recent decades, significant changes in the age structure of the global population have occurred: the age group of people aged 60 and over is growing at an accelerated rate, making the prevention and treatment of diseases in the elderly among the most important tasks of modern medicine. With age, anatomical and functional changes occur throughout the body, and particularly in the nervous system, and disruptions in various biological processes occur, leading to a deterioration in cerebral blood flow and subsequent changes in small cerebral vessels (micro- and macroangiopathy), leading to reduced microcirculatory blood flow and changes in the vascular wall.
