Abstract:
The results of a clinical evaluation of the efficacy and tolerability of Mexidol administered intravenously for 5-7 days in 50 cases of complicated alcoholic delirium treated with Mexidol are presented. The clinical condition of the patients and the dynamics of laboratory data were compared with a control group of patients receiving background therapy without Mexidol. It was found that Mexidol allows for the earliest possible termination of psychosis, which in turn leads to a reduction in secondary complications and mortality. Keywords: Mexidol, antioxidant, antihypoxant, alcoholic delirium, termination.
