Abstract:
Analysis of the obtained data allows us to conclude that Mexidol should be used in the correction of various types of autonomic dysregulation. The identified characteristics are consistent with the literature data. Due to its mechanism of action (antioxidant, membrane-protective) and a wide range of pharmacological effects (cerebroprotective, antihypoxic, tranquilizing, antistress, nootropic, vegetotropic, anticonvulsant; improvement and stabilization of cerebral metabolism and cerebral blood supply; correction of disorders in the regulatory and microcirculatory systems; improvement of blood rheological properties, suppression of platelet aggregation; activation of the immune system), Mexidol affects the main links in the pathogenesis of various diseases associated with free radical oxidation processes, including autonomic disorders. In addition, given the ability of Mexidol to potentiate the action of other centrally active substances, its use is optimal in a comprehensive approach to the treatment of autonomic dysfunction syndrome.
