Abstract:
The development of COVID-19 is associated with damage to various organs and body systems, including acute ischemic stroke (IS). This article examines current understanding of the pathogenesis of IS in COVID-19. Data on optimal therapy for patients with COVID-19 and acute IS are analyzed, as well as the potential for improving the effectiveness of rehabilitation measures. Data on the efficacy of Mexidol in patients with COVID-19 and IS are presented. Keywords: ischemic stroke, COVID-19, treatment, rehabilitation, Mexidol.
